The Clinical Trial of Megavit(MT-500) on Chronic Hepatitis in Korea

Abstract
|
|
|
The clinical efficacy of Megavit(MT-500) was evaluated in 123 cases with chronic hepatitis including 75 cases of chronic active and 48 cases of chronic pristent hepatitis. Experimental group was administered three tablets of MT-500 for six months and subjective symptoms, objective findings and variation in liver functions were observed. No noteworthy side effect was noted . d the results obtained were summarized as follows:
1. The moderate or better improvement rate (%) in Megavit group was 88.5% and slight r better improvement rate in experimental group was 100% respectively in subjective symptoms. While moderate and better improvement of objective findings in Megavit group was 84.6% but moderate or better improvement rate in liver function test including SGO , SGPT and other parameters were 65.4%.
2. In general evaluation safety rating of the drug was 100% by this study and utility ratin was shown in 80.8%, respectively.
3. Change of SGOT in positive HBsAg antigen group was statistically significant compared with negative HBsAg group studied.
4. Follow-up liver biopsy was performed in 45 cases after six months of administration o Megavit which was converted to chronic persistent hepatitis.
